WeWriWa o7.20.14

Welcome to another edition of Weekend Writing Warriors/Snippet Sunday! Well I guess it is only Snippet Sunday this week, since I was late posting and WeWriWa took my name down. Oh well, shit happens and I'm even thankful for the posts I do get out on time.

Where we last left off, Armani made a toast to their future. This picks up right when he made the toast.

Karlea stared at him. They sipped their wine, Armani watched as Karlea drank down her wine quickly. He disappeared and returned with the bottle of wine, refilling her glass.
"Thank you," Karlea said with a breathy voice, obviously feeling more of the euphoria.
Armani shook his head in acknowledgement, he listened to the swing tune playing on the stereo. He smiled, reaching for Karlea's glass; he set both glasses down and then quickly scooped Karlea off of her feet as she screamed. He set her back down in the middle of the room, taking both of her hands in his, he began to swing her around in perfect swing dance fashion. Karlea laughed and screamed as the room spun around her.

Thanks for reading and please comment, I love reading your comments! Also, if anyone wants to share there writing schedule - you know, between work, family, school, etc., please share, I'm all for listening ;)

WeWriWa o7.13.14

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors?Snippet Sunday! I hope you are having an awesome weekend!

This week we jump ahead just a little from where we left off last week. Where we left off, they were about to dance to an old Renaissance tune. One that involved no physical touching, just hands facing each other and lots of spinning in a circle. Armani had to emphasize that touching would come later ;) Of which, he broke tradition mid-song to pick her up and spin her.
After they dance, Armani suggests some wine....
(First line is Karlea's)

"Did you spike it?"
"Not unless you want me too."
"Why not? Maybe it will help me to let go."
Armani grinned, the blood was getting addicting. He set down his glass and forced his eyes to change to red. He let Karlea see his fangs before he bit his wrist. He placed his hand over hers on the wine glass and tipped it slightly to catch the blood. Once the wound healed, he picked up his glass.
"To our future." Armani said as he initiated toasting their glasses.

Nice toast, Armani. hehehe. So, what will happen next? Thanks for reading and please comment, I love reading your comments. And if anyone has the time and feels like sharing their writing schedule or art schedule, please do. I am trying to see how other writers & artists balance work, college, family, etc. with your writing/art time. And thanks in advance!

WeWriWa o7.o6.14

Its Sunday! It must be time for Weekend Writing Warriors/Snippet Sunday! Yay!

Where we last left off, Armani is trying to romance Karlea by dancing with her around the living room. And she might just be warming up to him. Last week, they had just finished dancing to a song.

"You should really drink some water, keep your core temperature down," Armani said, grabbing the bottle of water from earlier off the end table.
Karlea looked at the bottle as Armani handed it to her, it was still spiked with his blood, but at this point it didn't seem to matter. Karlea took a sip and realized how thirsty she was, she drank the whole bottle down before she knew it, his blood in it adding to her high.
An orchestral song came on, Armani grabbed onto Karlea and swung her around in a ballroom dance, lifting her up and over furniture as it became in the way. Karlea laughed, enjoying herself.
When the song ended, he stopped and waited for the next; a very upbeat orchestral piece.
"Ah, this song is very old, I'm quite fond of it. Here, follow my lead," He said. Is it working? Is he charming her yet?

Thanks for reading! And please comment, I love reading your comments, it helps me with the story :)

I started doing Camp NaNoWriMo this week for this novel and so far it is keeping me writing everyday. Since I started writing this story, I would be lucky to write a paragraph a week, Camp has made me find the time to write everyday, so for this week I have been writing a few paragraphs a day :) I won't have this whole novel written by the time the month is over, but at least I am making better progress. I know most of you readers who are writers on WeWriWa probably write way more than that per day, but my life is totally crazy and its hard to find time, although all I want to do is write this story. If you have the time, please share your writing schedule with me, so I can see how you balance work, college, family, etc. with your writing time. And thanks in advance!

WeWriWa o6.29.14

Welcome to another edition of Weekend Writing Warriors/Snippet Sunday!

This week's snippet is going to pick up right where it left off two weeks ago. Armani is dancing with Karlea around his penthouse in order to romance her. After Karlea calls him a monster for kidnapping her, Armani asserts that he actually saved her.

Karlea knew he was somewhat right; she was alone in that club, leaving her as fair game to any vampire there; she was lucky they didn't all pounce on her the moment she walked through the door. Armani gave her a chance to live, but that came with a price, the mental and physical tests he had put her through in that dungeon, and draining her to the point of almost death.
"I could have drained you easily and left your body in an alley." Armani continued, "I see something in you. Although, I will admit the temptation to drain you is great. Your taste is addicting."
Armani caressed her back, sending more waves through her.
"I assume that you were disowned long ago." Karlea said, trying to get ahold of herself, and trying to figure out Armani's age.
"Yes. Hundreds of years ago." Armani smiled.

What will happen next between them?
Thanks for reading and please comment, I love reading your comments!
My mini tour with Centhron, last weekend, was incredible and so much fun! I will have to make a blog post and post pics a bit later. Definitely an experience I won't ever forget!

WeWriWa o6.15.14

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors/Snippet Sunday!

Where we last left off, Karlea challenged Armani to romance her, and Armani obliged by asking her to dance. Karlea not really able to keep up with Armani. Last week, Armani left off with asking Karlea, if she ever danced on her father's feet as a little girl...

"Maybe a few times when I was really young, he died when I was seven."
"I am very sorry. I never knew my real father, I was a bastard child, my mother's husband took me in, but ended up disowning me when I was much older."
Armani lifted Karlea up and placed her feet on top of his.
"And now you're a monster who likes to kidnap women and keep them like a slave against their will." Karlea said before she even knew what she was saying, she wasn't sure how Armani would react.
"Fair enough." Armani smirked, as he danced around with her, "I saved you, if anyone else had gotten to you, that club would still be cleaning up the pieces of your dead body." Unfortunately, I have to end their conversation there. I promise Armani has more to say ;)

Thanks for reading and please comment, I love reading your comments!
Not sure if I will be posting next Sunday, I will be in Los Angeles Friday and Saturday, and in San Francisco on Sunday, following Centhron's mini U.S. tour with Mordacious opening the L.A. shows, and DJ Unit 77 djing all three shows - he's the one I'm traveling with :) So excited! I'll see if I can get a post written Thursday.

WeWriWa o6.o8.14

Welcome to another Weekend Writing Warriors/Snippet Sunday! Forgot to post last night, so I was taken off the WeWriWa list, but I'm still gonna post - there's still Snippet Sunday readers to please :)

So, where we left off last week, Karlea challenged Armani to romance her. Will he come through, or is he not capable of something like that?
"Care to dance?" Armani said. Armani smiled and then offered her his hand, Karlea stared at it for a moment, contemplating, then at Armani.
She carefully slipped her hand into his. Armani smiled and pulled her into him, wrapping his arm around her and resting his hand on the lower part of her back. He watched as Karlea put her other hand gently on his shoulder. He swung her around their makeshift dancefloor, Karlea's feet not exactly keeping up.
"Didn't you ever dance with your father on his feet?" Armani asked.

Is Karlea finally going to warm up to him? Thanks for reading and please comment, I love reading your comments.

WeWriWa o6.o1.14

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors/Snippet Sunday!

I had to take a few weeks off from this and now this week I am using my iPhone to make this post since I have no internet at the moment. So this post will be short and sweet.

Where we last left off, Karlea declined Armani's offer of sex, after being high on his blood...

Romance me." KArlea replied, convinced that Armani would not be capable of such a thing.
With vampire speed, Armani disappeared into the other room. Karlea could hear him. She walked to the edge of the room, but she couldn't see him in what seemed to be an even larger living room. She tried to take another step but her body would just not move, so she waited. Music from the 1920's came onto the stereo, echoing through all the rooms.
"Care to dance?" Armani said, suddenly standing in front of her.

Will Armani actually manage to romance her? Does he really have a secret sweet and romantic side?

Thanks for reading and please comment, I love reading your comments.
