WeWriWa 27.o9.15

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors / Snippet Sunday! I would also like to wish you a Happy Autumn!! One of my favorite times of the year.

We continue on with Armani & Karlea...

Armani kept moving as he drank, wanting to bring her to the point of climaxing. He drank until his loss of blood was replenished enough without leaving her too weak, he needed her still conscious and aware. He wanted to flip her over, so she was on top of him, but he could tell she didn't have enough in her to handle such activity - her human body exhausted. He moved, listening to her sounds, in tune with them and her body, and focusing on her sexual energy.
“We need to discuss your punishment.” Armani said.
“Punishment?” Karlea breathed, almost not able to speak. She was so close
“For punching your fist through my chest.” Armani paused, “Twice, and for all the smart ass comments you have made, such as my blood tastes like cheap wine.”

Ooops...Karlea's in trouble...again ;)

Vampir Freitag 25.o9.15

Welcome to Vampire Friday, my favorite day of the week!

We continue on from last week...

Jake half expected her to scream and attempt to run away, like it happened so many times before in all his centuries. But instead she reached out her hand and placed it on his cheek, creating a spark between them.
"I always knew vampires existed. I should be scared, but I'm not."
"You should be." Jake said, taking her hand. "I could kill you at any moment without warning."
"You could have killed me a few minutes ago while I was bleeding out everywhere, but you didn't. I'm sure there was plenty of other times tonight that you could have."

"I was very tempted to, I wanted to. But I like you too much." Jake painfully admitted.
Karlea smiled.
"What I did tonight, in the basement, Jake continued, "I wouldn't normally do. Whether I was human or...this. But you make me feel something..."
He locked his fingers into hers, Karlea locking hers around his as they both looked at their hands. Jake pulled her into him, placing his free hand on her cheek and his lips on hers. he kissed her passionately.
"I feel so comfortable and safe with you. I don't know why." Karlea said quietly.
Jake half smiled, "Your life will always be in danger when you're around me, even when it seems like I'm trying to help."
Karlea nodded that she understood.
"We should get out of here." Jake said.
"I live not that far from here."

They walked to the end of the street and took a left, entering a street that had more people walking about, mostly college kids trying to get back home after a night of debauchery that their parents would never allow. Jake scanned for dangers as they walked, nothing but drunk teenagers and twenty somethings.
"Where do you live?" Karlea asked.
"SoHo."

"Then what were you doing..." Karlea stopped, "You were stalking me."
"I was trying to make sure you got home safe." Jake replied.
"Whatever it is, its a good thing you did." Karlea smiled then continued, "So that thing that attacked me.."
"Was vampire. Unrelated to me, but not unrelated to your ex. Whatever he is up to, he name dropped you. The last thing he said before he was escorted out of the club, was that they were coming for you. That's all I know. And why I followed you."

"Fuck."
Karlea pointed to her building.
"I'm walking you inside." Jake said.
Karlea nodded and they made their way inside. Jake on heightened senses of any danger. Jake followed Karlea up the stairs to the second floor.
"Sydney." Karlea said when she saw her black and white, young kitten sitting on the floor at the top of the stairs. Jake became hesitant, animals usually able to sense vampires and have a strong negative reaction to them. Karlea scooped up Sydney and pet her, the cat instantly purring. It playfully batted its paw at Jake, looking for more love. Jake reached out his hand, ready for the cat to freak out and claw him, but instead purred even more as Jake placed his hand on Sydney's head.
"She shouldn't be out here." Karlea warned.

Jake walked a head of her on guard as they turned the corner. The hallway lingered of vampire.
"The last apartment on the right." Karlea quietly said.
As they approached, they noticed the door was wide open.
"May I go in?" Jake asked.
"Yeah."
Jake entered her tiny studio apartment, it was trashed and empty of any threats, Danny's human scent lingering in the apartment, but Luna's stopped at the door, which meant Danny had no right to invite vampires in.
"Its safe." Jake called.
Karlea appeared at the door. "My apartment..."
Karlea walked in and shut the door, so she could let go of Sydney. Sydney immediately walking towards Jake and laying down at his feet, purring. Jake smiled.
"She likes you, apparently."

"It was Danny." Jake said as Karlea looked at the mess.
"How do you know?"
"I can smell his scent. But Luna's stops outside the door."

"Because she's vampire and I would have to invite her in and Danny isn't."
"Correct." Jake replied.
"I invited you in."
Jake nodded.
"I promise to do my best not to abuse it." Jake said. "But you can rescind the invitation for extra protection."
"No, I don't want to."
"Its late. We're going to go to my place. You can sleep there, we'll deal with this mess tomorrow."
"Thank you."
Jake smiled at her and then grabbed her hand to get her to look at him, "I'm going to protect you from this. I just don't know if I can protect you from me."
Karlea nodded her head. This was all new territory for her; vampires, vampires that will kill her for blood, and vampires that just wanted to kill her. Jake looked at her hand, staring at her veins, watching the blood pump through them.
"You're going to need to be aware of the dangers of being with me..."
Karlea reached up and gently kissed his lips to get him to stop talking
"I think I understand and I'm more than willing to take those risks with you."
"Okay." he said, uncertain this was a good idea. Uncertain that she really knew what she was getting into. Karlea was being way to calm about everything. She really wasn't like most humans.
"Besides my choices are either you or whoever is trying to kill me. I think, if anything, I would rather it be you."
"Don't tell me that. It will make it harder for me to keep you alive." Jake's eyes stalking her as she searched around her floor.

WeWriWa 2o.o9.15

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors / Snippet Sunday!

We continue on where we left off last week:

"I love you covered in my blood." Armani said.
"Feel free to make that happen more often."
"That I can do."
"Here," Karlea said, exposing her throat, "for the blood loss."
Armani smiled and raised his eyebrows. His eyes turned red and he flashed Karlea his fangs as he ran his index finger over her jugular. He kissed her lips, his tongue gently parting them and finding its way inside her mouth; her jugular pulsating under his index finger. He slipped himself back inside of her, as she moaned and smiled with her eyes closed, before running his tongue along her jugular, feeling her human pulse. Armani bit down hard, causing Karlea to yell out.

Vampire Friday 18.09.15

Welcome to Vampire Friday, my favorite day of the week!

We continue on where we left off last week; Karlea had no idea that Jake was on the train with her...

Jake watched as she went to get off at the West 4th Street stop in Greenwich Village. He waited for the very last second before the door to the train closed to use his speed to exit. Once on the platform, he walked slowly behind, keeping some distance between him and Karlea. As Karlea exited out onto the street, she pushed one of her headphones off her ear. She walked for a bit, deeper into Greenwich Village, the streets a lot quieter and empty. Karlea turned down a empty street, Jake electing to walk down the alley parallel to it.
Karlea thought she heard something as she walked. She pulled her headphones off and rested them round her neck as she listened. She turned back around to walk forward when she swore she felt someone breathe down her neck.
"Fuck." She said, as she turned around.
No one was there, street was still empty.
"This night just got weird." She said out loud to herself.
"Weirder." She corrected.
She started to walk again, her pace a bit faster. She looked behind her again, this time an old, drunk bum had turned the corner and was walking behind her. She kept walking, jumping out of the way of the bum sitting on the sidewalk that looked the same as the one that just turned the corner behind her.
"Have any change?" He asked, shaking a cup.
"No, sorry." Karlea politely replied, as she always did when crossing paths with someone asking for change.
She looked behind her as she walked but both bums were gone. A hand grabbed onto her arm.
"I said, do you have any change?" The bum asked, more aggressively.
Karlea, using her martial arts training, flipped the bum over onto his back on the concrete sidewalk.

"No, I don't!" She yelled.
She looked down, but the bum disappeared.

"Oh shit."
She heard the bum laugh as a breeze went past her. She went to run, but a cold, sharp pain radiated from her stomach. She looked down to see a knife lodged into her side. She couldn't move with the metal still lodged in her. Instinctively, she quickly and bravely pulled the knife out, dropping it to the ground. She felt her blood drip down her. She had to get to a busier street. She went to take a step, but the world started to spin around her.
"Karlea!" Jake yelled using his speed to get to her.
He caught her in his arms, looking around, the scent of vampire was heavy in the air, however, the vampire that had done this was gone. He sat on the ground, holding her.
"I'm going to get you some help. Just please hold on." He begged.
He pulled his phone from his pocket and attempted to call 911. The smell of her blood, hitting him tenfold.

Fuck, he said to himself. Who was he kidding - an ambulance wouldn't make it in time before she bled out, or more over, it wouldn't make it before he drained her the rest of the way. He wasn't going to last resisting with her smelling like that. Jake closed his eyes and brought his wrist to his mouth, biting into it. He used all of his strength to force his eyes to return to normal before he opened them, his wrist dripping blood.
"Here. Drink. It will heal you." He said, softly. He really didn't want to be doing this, but he had no choice, if he wanted to save her. Karlea looked at him, weak and confused.
"I'm clean, it won't harm you or change you. My blood will heal you."

He brought his wrist to her mouth. The feeling of her lips wrapped around his wrist was more intense than he imagined and turned him on. He allowed her a sip and pulled away, although he didn't want the feeling of her on him to go away. But he also didn't want her to become high off of his blood, nor blood bound to him. Blood binding a human was serious and he wouldn't do it without her consent, and even then he may not even do it. He was surprised how she didn't choke on the taste. Most humans would have choked and found the taste vile, did she actually enjoy it?
His wound healed itself quickly. Karlea cried out as she watched her wound heal itself. Within a minute, she was back to normal, his blood also healing her blood loss.
"Good?" He asked as he took her hands.
She nodded, unable to speak as she stared at him. Jake pulled her up to her feet with no effort. Jake scanning the area for any more vampires.

"What...what are you?" She calmly asked, finding her voice.
Jake hesitated. "Vampire...I'm a vampire, Karlea."

What will Karlea's reaction be?

WeWriWa 13.o9.15

Welcome to Snippet Sunday! I was too tired to finish this post last night and thought I would be up before the Weekend Writing Warriors post deadline. But alas, my name was taken down. Oh well. lol.

We are going to continue on with Karlea's thoughts and the declaration they are making to each other...

Even though she was more than willing to be bloodbonded, Jake still refused to do it. Karlea hated to admit it, but maybe Armani was right, maybe deep down Jake was unsure about their relationship the whole time. It was definitely time for her to let go of it all.
"I am bound to you, " She said, "I will always protect you and fight for you, even when I hate you."
Armani squeezed her hand again, "I would let you rip it out and keep it safe, if I could."

"I'm starting to loose too much blood." Armani said, removing both of their hands.
They watched the hole close up, Karlea looking like murder scene. Armani rubbed the blood all over her body before kissing her.

I am so hoping to turn this into a cable tv series one day, think True Blood.  With that being said, I am going to be bold right now and sincerely ask my readers if any of you have connections at Netflix, as far as people in charge of finding original series and films for the company?

In a new move, Netflix is looking to only have original content on their streaming service, this includes series and films. I know they are on a search to find original content to produce. I have many screenplays and treatments that I would love to pitch to them, but I do not have an agent, nor an "in" with the company. I'm guessing like most networks and movie production houses, they will throw out unsolicited work. I am looking for a way in or any creative ideas about to how to get my ideas to them. I tried researching who is in charge of finding content, but am coming up empty handed. If anyone has an info, I would be forever grateful. I figure now is the time to pitch to them.

Vampire Friday 11.o9.15

Welcome to Vampire Friday! My favorite day of the week!

This week, I have chosen to continue on with BloodLust, where Jake follows Karlea home to ensure her safety. I guess I didn't really choose to continue on with this, it just kind of flowed out as I am going through a whole rewrite of the original story I wrote a few years ago. I was doing good writing this excerpt at first, but then sleep depravation and sickness made me hit a minor writer's block for the rest of it. So, I did what you are supposed to do for writer's block and just kept writing. It is still WIP , so it will only have to be edited anyway. At least you have something to read.

Jake watched her as she walked towards the subway station at the end of the street. She was listening to music with only one of the headphones against her ear, the other resting behind her other ear; a way for her to still be aware to what was going on around her as she walked the city streets late at night. He admired how aware and attentive she was, unlike most humans who were lost into their own worlds and technological devices. How the world had changed over six centuries. Every minute or two she would look around and behind her, always knowing what was going on around her, the Manhattan streets still crazy with people at 4am. Jake had to be careful to stay a bit behind or move so fast around her that she didn't see him.
Karlea entered the subway station, swiped her Metro card, and made her way to the downtown E train platform. As the train approached, she put both headphones on her ears. She entered onto the half empty train and immediately sat down. She happened to look out of the window to see Jake descending the stairs. She looked away and smiled to herself and then back out the window as the train began to take off, but he had disappeared into the small crowd on the platform.
She really hoped that she would see him again, and that the night's events didn't scare him off. She really wanted to take him up on his offer to walk her home, not that she felt unsafe, she could take whatever the mean New York City streets had to throw at her since she lived her for so long, but she wanted to spend more time with Jake, off the clock. There was something different about him (and Vaughn), she just sensed it, and it excited her.
She hadn't given anyone the time of day since her and Danny broke up over a year ago. No one intrigued her enough. Everyone was the same. Even at the club, in the depths of the goth subculture, everyone was the same once you got to know them. Unfortunately, as a bartender, she got to know people more than she wanted, it was a total turnoff. She craved something more - something more taboo.
If any other dirtbag from the club had tried to do what Jake had done in the basement, she would have beat the shit out of them. She felt safe and comfortable with Jake. Why, she did not know. And was she ever attracted to him, the spark she felt when he touched her drove her crazy.

She didn't know that Jake was in the back of the train car watching her.

WeWriWa o6.o9.15

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors / Snippet Sunday!

We will continue on where Armani left off last week...

You are forever bonded to me. You will protect me no matter what the consequence. Even when you hate me.” Armani paused. “And if you did mean me harm, I would have already had your body in a thousand pieces.”
Armani stopped and squeezed her hand inside his chest.
"My life is to protect you now and fight for you, no matter what, even when you hate me."

Karlea stared at him, taking in his declaration to her. She finally understood the seriousness of bloodbonding; what it meant and what it entailed. She understood why Jake was always hesitant towards the subject, but she still didn't understand why he refused to bloodbond her, even after all they had been through together...

Karlea's thoughts will have to continue next week.

Vampire Friday o4.o9.15

Welcome to Vampire Friday, my favorite day of the week!

Continuing on with where we left off with BloodLust a few weeks ago...

"You have bonded yourself to her, Jake. To a human. Nothing good ever comes of this, only a dead body." Vaughn continued. "Be prepared to turn her, so you are not so surprised when she dies."
Jake looked over at Karlea. The image of her as a vampire in his mind. She would no doubt be absolutely beautiful as a vampire, forever immortalized the way she looked now, but he didn't want that for her. He really didn't want to end up having to make the choice of turning her or keeping her dead. If he did accidentally kill her, he would do what was right, and bare the burden and the loss of her, instead of her baring the burden of eternal life, living off of human blood.
Jake looked back at Vaughn.
"Her ex said they were coming for her, but wouldn't tell me who they were. I can only assume vampire." Jake said.
"And she has no idea what danger she is in." Vaughn said. He looked over at her and then back at Jake.
"She's dead, Jake. She's not going to make it through the night. You want her in your undead life, you need to make her undead, now."

Jake stared at Vaughn, torn between what he wanted and what he needed to do. Just then Karlea walked up to them, holding her coat and messenger bag, snapping Jake out of his thoughts. Jake noticed she looked tired and he could sense from the smell of her blood that she was slightly drunk.
"Matt's sending me home early. So, I'm gonna go home and sleep. I'll be here tomorrow, dancing," she said, "I'll give you your shirt back then?"
"Whenever is good." Jake smiled. "Do you want me to walk you home or to the subway?"

"Thanks, but I think I got this. I just want to get home so I can sleep."
She smiled at the both of them and walked off towards the exit. Jake went to follow.
"Where are you going?"
"I suppose you would call it stalking my prey," Jake replied, "but I call it making sure she gets home safely."
"You can't protect her all the time."
"I'm going to try..." Jake responded as he started to walk away.
"Again, you're hopeless, Jake." Vaughn yelled, "I'll be at my apartment."
Jake waved to Vaughn without looking back. He used his speed to catch up with Karlea, but remain in the shadows so she didn't see him.

Have a great weekend! And if you're in the States, have a great long weekend for Labour Day! If you don't have to work anyways. I always thought Labour Day was to celebrate the American worker? So, why has it become such a commercial shopping holiday, where it makes employees in retail/food service work? Way to go Amerikkkka! :(

@AngelicaDawson's Blue Moon House: Investor Release Day!!!

Blue Moon House: Investor
by Angelica Dawson

Terrance is fascinated with the vampires of Blue Moon House. When a fire leaves them homeless, he seizes the opportunity to put them in his debt and himself into their hearts. They agree to his proposition of a new house in America and set off on a voyage of wonder, danger and pleasure.

Investor is the fifth installment of Angelica Dawson's Blue Moon House series. With each subsequent volume set further into the past, there is no need to read these books in order. Just pick it up, and enjoy!

The vampires grew more and more thirsty as the trip went on. Terrance tried to hold out longer when they fed, waiting until the last possible moment to stop them. He'd wound up stuck in his bunk, unable to rise, after he lost consciousness. He'd gotten a stern lecture from each of the vampires for that. They doted on him while he was bedridden, bringing him food and water despite burns from the sunlight streaming through the windows of the kitchen and down from the deck.
Terrance groaned as he took a cup of broth from Lynn's blistered hand. “It does no good to save me only to kill yourself,” he reminded her.
“It does exactly the good it should,” she argued. She wrapped her hand in a kerchief and tied it. “You are alive. I am not.”
He reached out to touch her cheek. “You seem living to me.”
She sighed and leaned her pink, warm skin into his hand. Too warm. The vampires were always slightly cool, a sign of their difference, but the sun had baked her cheek.
“I'm sorry,” he apologized again. “I won't be so foolish again. It's only because I know you're thirsty.”
Lynn kissed him gently on the lips, then the forehead. “We will see to ourselves.
