WeWriWa / Snippet Sunday o4.3o.17

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors and Snippet Sunday! April flew by, I can't believe its May already!

Where we last left off with Armani & Karlea, she was getting pretty snarky with him. Her last line was, "I wasn't being demanding." Armani has the first line...

"Yes, you most certainly were. And for future reference, I don't respond well to demanding."
"Oh, but you're good at being demanding." Karlea replied, "I seem to remember you saying, take your clothes off and clothes off, last night"
"That's different." Armani said, serious, walking towards her, "Sorry I'm not all sweet and romantic like your ex-lover. I'm a little more rough around the edges, but that excites you and you love it."
He looked at her and bit his lower lip, Karlea noticing the lust in his eyes.
"Breakfast in bed?" He asked, holding out his hand.

Oh, yum :)

In other news, I am trying to get caught up and blog post comments and reading everyone's snippets from the last few weeks. Easter Sunday first threw me off and then having the kids home for Spring Break. Plus writing for Camp NaNo, which ends today - I failed my goal of 20k, only made it slightly past 10k, but the important thing is I got my new story started that was in my head and driving me crazy. Then this week, it was my kindergartener home from school all week with an ear infection. It hit at night and I had to rush him to a pediatric ER, just so he could be seen by a doctor right away. Ear is better, but his cold/cough isn't, so now I may just take him back to the same doctor in the ER. Uggg.

But I will get caught up. I caught up my blog yesterday at WP and need to catch up my posts on social media. I can handle the blog hops and reading/commenting on other's snippets, but the managing social media thing...I really can't keep up. So, how do you all manage your social media for your blogs?

I have a feeling that a lot of you might be full time writers and put in 8 hours a day. I only have a few hours a day, if even that, when the kiddos are in school, by the time I clean up after the whirlwind of 5 kids getting ready for school and all the other everyday life things I have to do. I would love nothing more to be a full time writer and artist.

Thank you everyone for reading and commenting, and simply supporting me!

Enjoy your Sunday!

#VampireFriday o4.28.17

Welcome to Vampire Friday, my favorite day of the week!

We continue where we left off last week, where things were getting incredibly hot between Jake & Karlea. We left off where Jake commanded her to drink his blood because he wanted to share the experience with her.

Karlea took a few deep breaths and brought Jake's bleeding wrist to her mouth. She licked the blood that was dripping before placing her mouth on the wound and sucking. His blood warm from feeding on her. Jake moaned from the sensation of her latching on to him and drinking his blood. As she drank more, he pulled her in closer to him, so her head was resting on him. He breathed heavily.
"That feels so good."
He enjoyed it a bit longer, then said, "I don't want you to, but you have to stop."
Karlea let go. Jake's wound closing up at the same time as Karlea's puncture wounds. She wrapped her arms around his neck as his blood took over her.
"Oh."
Jake wrapped his arms around her to her back, to help steady her. He laughed, she was as high on him as he was on her.
"Feels good doesn't it?"
She nodded. "Is this what its like for you?"
"Only when I feed. it doesn't last long for me, like it will for you."
"Why didn't I feel like this the other night?"
"Because your body was using my blood to heal you and because I just let you have way more than before."
Karlea looked at him, his eyes still red with lust and blood. And still high on her blood.
"You're so beautiful." She said, smiling, before she kissed him.
He wrapped his arms back around her, kissing her deeply back. He used his speed to purposely fall back on the bed, bringing her with him. Jake took her hands and helped her sit up on him, grabbing onto her hips to help her move, her nails digging into his chest as she moved. He closed his eyes, feeling her on him, listening to the sounds she was making. Jake moaned, too, she felt so good.
He opened his eyes and used his speed to flip her over onto her back without breaking the rhythm they had. She wrapped herself around his body tight, her nails digging into his back, lost in it. He lost himself, too, as they both became louder. He placed his hand on her cheek, caressing it. He kissed her and then turned her face to the side to give him better access to her neck. He ran his tongue up her neck and sucked on it before biting down. The bite sending her over the edge, she moaned and whispered his name. She moaned again loudly, arching her back, holding onto Jake tight. Her body tensing up and then letting go. Between her climaxing and her blood, it was enough to send Jake over his own edge. He released himself from her neck, burying his face into her shoulder as he let go.
Out of breath, they relaxed their bodies. Jake kissed her.
"Hey." He smiled.

"Hey." She replied.
"I didn't hurt you did I?"
She shook her head, "No, not at all. I loved all of it."
"Good." Jake replied, smiling.
He layed down next to Karlea and pulled her in. She wrapped her leg around him and rested her head on his chest.

#MidWeek Tease o4.26.17

Welcome to MidWeek Tease! I want to send a huge thank you to Angelica Dawson for hosting this blog hop & for adding my blog link to the contributors section on the MidWeek Tease Blog. Thank you :)

And I am so gonna tease you by continuing with an excerpt from my Camp NaNo project, called Blood Wine. It's a vampire erotic romance, set in western New York.
It's about a young, wealthy, winery owner and artist, who falls for a woman who works at the art museum. He is immediately drawn to her not only because he thinks she is beautiful, but because she is so bold and sassy. Only his true identity must not ever be known to her. Both struggle to fight their growing attraction to each other, until Anton proposes a strictly physical affair. But how long will it last before they admit to each other that they want something more? And what will happen if she discovers his secret?

Where we left off last week, Mr. Pierce had not seen his art exhibit yet, so Charlotte went to show him, only she was engrossed by his artwork for a second time, connecting them even further. The last lines were of Charlotte asking if he needed anything before the guests arrived, to which he replied a glass of water...

I made my way over to where one of our cafe staff named Sarah, was setting up a table. I asked her if she would be able to get Mr. Pierce a fresh glass of cold bottled water. She looked happy at such a task, silently swooning over him. I walked back to my desk, Mr. Pierce was busy talking to museum staff as Sarah brought him the glass of water. She was definitely remaining more professional than I was.
Mr. Pierce made his way back over to me.
“Thank you for the water.” He said.
“You’re welcome.” I replied, briefly looking up at him and smiling, then looking back at the computer screen at my desk, like I was busy doing something, so I wasn’t just staring at him.
“What about you...what do you need?” He asked, staring at me intensely.
I laughed, “Thanks, but nothing.”
He continued to look at me, so I broke down and answered, as guests began to trickle in, “I need a cup of hot green tea and a bubblebath.”
He laughed and walked over to meet guests. I stood at the desk and watched as many more guests entered. Jonathan came over to tell me that right before 9:30, he was going to have everyone head to the auditorium for the artist talk, before running off again, to smooze with guests.

Most of the time I just stayed at the desk during these functions because I had to. I had to make sure guests didn’t enter the gallery and weren’t wandering around. Sometimes, a colleague would relieve me and Dana would introduce me to people, helping me to network. Tonight I was just happy to stay in one place. Some of the guests were regular patrons of the museum that came to almost all of the receptions. A few came over to say hello to me during this half hour of meet and greet time. But as more and more people came in, it was apparent that they were associates of Mr. Pierce. This was the most packed I had seen the museum for a reception.
I just wanted this night to be over with…..or maybe I just wanted Mr. Pierce to pay attention to me more to make the time pass. That was impossible now.
“You definitely need to change up your game plan.” Dana said, snapping me back to earth.
I looked at her not sure what she meant.
“Mr. Pierce has been glancing at you since he got here. You definitely have his attention.”
I smiled and shrugged my shoulders, “I know. I’m just not good with relationships. Plus he’s wealthy, I’m not so sure I would handle that well.”
“I’m telling you, Charlotte, I’ve seen him around the museum a lot, he always looks so glum and sad. Whatever you said to him tonight, I’ve never seen him so happy.”
Dana walked away as I looked up at him. He was glancing over this way as he was talking. I smiled and his face lit up.
Right before 9:30, Jonathan announced for everyone to make their way to the auditorium. That was my cue to hold the door to the main gallery open for them. As guests passed through, Mr. Pierce quickly made his way over and held the other door open, both of us being greeted with thank yous from the guests. Jonathan and the rest of the staff passed through, Mr. Pierce letting them know he would be there in a minute. When the coast was clear, he looked at me.
“Will you be joining me?” He asked.
I shook my head, “I can’t. I have to stay out here and guard the gallery.”
“I thought that’s what security was for?”
“Me, too. But I have to show any latecomers where to go instead of having them wander the museum.”
“Even if I demand you be there?” He said.
“That’s the one thing I can’t do. I’d like to hear your talk though.”
He looked disappointed, but said okay. Before he walked through the doors, he asked if he could have a piece of paper and a pen.
“Absolutely.” I replied. I went over to the desk and grabbed him a note paper and a pen.
“Good luck.” I said, as I handed it to him.
“Thanks.” He said, before he disappeared inside.

WeWriWa / Snippet Sunday o4.23.17

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors / Snippet Sunday!

We continue on from last week, where Armani and Karlea were talking about why Armani was covered up in a sheet. Last week, Karlea was getting pretty snarky with him. The first line is Armani...

"I was trying to be decent since you were so covered up and demanding your clothes."
"Decent? You?" Karlea sarcastically questioned. "I think you were trying to tease me."
"And it worked." Armani plainly said.
Karlea rolled her eyes again, even though he was right, it did tease her, certain parts of her wanted him naked.
"And I wasn't being demanding." She quickly added.

And....that's 10. So short :(
More tantalizing action next week I guess.

Vampire Friday o4.21.17

Welcome to Vampire Friday!

We continue on where we left off last week, where things were getting steamy between Jake and Karlea. We left off where Jake was warning her that she could lose her life doing this, if he loses control. Warning, heat level is hot!

Her fingers find his hips under his briefs. He pulled them off and then in a wave of passion that came over him, yanked on the lace around her, ripping them off, her naked body so beautiful before him. His body finding hers as they both moaned. He looked into her eyes.
"You're so beautiful, Karlea, in every way." He whispered.
She tried to speak, but his movements made her lose concentration and lost into the euphoria of sex. She kissed him long and hard. He pulled back, slightly sitting up as he kept the movement, his hands on her hips, enjoying the sounds that were escaping her, losing himself in them. Her hand reached up and touched his face. He placed his hand on hers and then held it. He brought her hand to his lips and kissed it. As their sounds became louder, he felt his eyes change over. The grip he had on himself was slipping, the sexual desire starting to drive his bloodlust. He held her hand to his mouth, showing his fangs. He wanted to bite her. Karlea noticed his red eyes, she pulled her hand from his and placed it back on his cheek, her thumb rubbing against his lip above his fang.
"Its okay." She whispered as she placed her hand back in his.
He stared at her as he brought her hand back to his mouth and bit down. A loud moan escaped from her, making her move on him even more passionately. Her sweet tasting, warm blood hit the back of his throat. He took a few sips and then let go, pulling her up to him, so her legs were wrapped around him sitting up. He could feel some of her blood on his lips. He went to wipe it off with his fingers but before he could, she licked his lips of her own blood. He smiled at her and kissed her forehead. She smiled back at him and kissed him, running her tongue over his fangs. She kissed his neck, sucking on the skin, her tongue caressing him. He ran his fingers through her hair, leaving them on the back of her head, holding her to his neck. With his other hand he pushed away her hair that was covering the side of her neck that was facing him. He traced her jugular with his finger. She pulled away from his neck, exposing hers better. He looked at her and then closed his eyes, really exposing his fangs. He brought his head back, letting his bloodlust take over before he slammed his fangs into the vein. She screamed pleasurably, moving around on him, and weaving her fingers through his hair and holding him to her. Each sip of blood hit the back of his throat, so warm and sweet, and satisfying his thirst for a split second. He pulled his fangs from her skin while he had the strength to do so. He gently licked where he had punctured the skin and then sucked on her neck. He kissed her and let her lick the blood off of his lips, which he found so incredibly sexy. He stared at her and smiled, he was so drunk on her blood. She watched as he brought his wrist to his mouth and bit down. Blood dripped off of his wrist as he offered it to Karlea. She looked at it and then at him.
"I want to share it with you." He commanded, "Drink."

#MidWeekTease o4.19.17

Welcome to this week's MidWeek Tease :)

Where we left off last week, Anton and Charlotte, met for the first time at the exhibit opening for Anton's artwork. Charlotte works at the museum. She was quite sassy when she introduced herself to him.

I watched him walk over to Jonathan as I walked back over to the admissions desk. I busied myself with organizing for the morning shift, trying to put the handsome Mr. Pierce out of my mind. As I worked, I couldn’t help but look up every few minutes to see what Mr. Pierce was up to. I finished organizing and went to look up, only Mr. Pierce was standing in front of the desk. I jumped back, a little startled.
“I apologize, I did not mean to frighten you.”
“It’s okay. You’re so quiet though, but I wasn’t paying attention either.”
“I didn’t want to disturb whatever you were doing, you looked a bit lost in thought.”
“I was just organizing for tomorrow morning.” I said, although it took longer for me to organize simply because I was lost in thought...about him.
“Well, I need to be demanding at the moment. I must demand that you show me the gallery that my work is in.” He said with a smile.
“You haven’t seen the gallery yet?!” I said, surprised that Jonathan hadn’t have shown him as soon as he walked in.
Mr. Pierce shook his head.
I grabbed my phone and looked at the time. It was ten minutes to nine.
“Okay, we have about ten minutes before the guests arrive.”
I opened the door to the main gallery, holding it open for Mr. Pierce. He reached over my head and grabbed onto the door.
“After you.” He said, holding the door, rather, for me.
I mouthed thanks and walked in, he followed behind.
“Your feet really need a rest don’t they?” He mentioned.
“Yeah, these aren’t the most comfortable platform shoes to be in for more than a few hours.” I replied as I continued to clomp through the gallery, these shoes feeling like bricks. As we walked around the auditorium, I turned to him.
“No complaining.” I said with attitude before bringing him around the corner.
He held his hands up and shook his head, “I promise.”
I held my hands out in ta-da motion, at the tables holding his bottles of fine wines and then continued walking into the gallery. I turned around to watch his reaction to the gallery. He walked in and looked around, looking pleased at the way everything was displayed. I looked around, too, and immediately was lost to his world of art, again.
“Your work is so…” I trailed off as I walked over to one of his sculptures on a pedestal. I felt him staring at me. “Dark, and full of suffering and pain.” I continued almost breathless.
I walked over to one of the large paintings on the wall. “A being filled with torment.”
“And your photographs are so stunning and beautiful with ghostly figures.”
He took a step next to me.
“Are you always so connected to art?” He whispered.
I nodded, “Yes.”
“Are you an artist, too?”
“Yes.”I replied before snapping out of my trance of his artwork. I looked at him.
“Thank you for what you said, at least someone here will understand it, I’m not sure everyone else will. They definitely didn’t offer me this exhibit because they thought I was a talented artist.”
“I think you are…”
“Well, thank you, Miss Charlotte.”
I smiled, “It just might make people think what you were going through to inspire this. But I have to admit I am curious, too.”
I met his gaze, then we both looked away.
“We should probably get back to the front.” I said.
He nodded and we walked out together, I tried to walk quieter through the gallery, but it was just impossible.
As we exited out of the gallery, I walked over to the desk.
“Is there anything I could get you before guests arrive, Mr. Pierce?” Mr. Pierce just rolling off my tongue.
“Anton. A glass of water would be great.”

WeWriWa / Snippet Sunday o4.16.17

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors / Snippet Sunday!

Last week, Armani told Karlea that he possibly would have made her remember their night together even if she didn't want to remember. Karlea stomped off, covering herself with a blanket. Armani's last lines were: "Love, you know I saw all of that last night, no need to cover back up. Or should I say, I felt it and tasted it all last night..."

Armani raised his eyebrows, "And heard every sound you made. I'm sure everyone in my building heard you, this room is not sound proof. I should probably change that."
"I'm cold." She answered with attitude. A smile creeping across her face as she eyed Armani's sheet, two could play at this game, "But from what I remember, love, the same could be said about you. And you were quite loud, yourself."
Armani looked down at the sheet covering him. "I'm cold,too--"
"You're a vampire, you're always cold," Karlea pointed out, rolling her eyes.

#ThursThreads o4.13.17

A very huge Thank You to #ThursThreads host Siobhan Muir and the judge this week Sandie Grisé ! I won an Honorable Mention for my flash fiction this week :) Pretty good considering I wrote this two hours before entires closed. And after being sick all week and not exactly on the best amount of sleep. I was actually getting really tired last night as I wrote it.
The prompt was: "You can't be here."

*  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *
"You can't be here." The security guard sternly said as I walked down the hallway to get to the basement studio of the gallery.

Crap, I hadn't planned for running into security doing his rounds down here.

"It's okay," Hunter said appearing from inside the studio. The guard looked at him.

"I asked her to join me, we need a few moments alone." Hunter spoke slowly looking into the guards eyes.
The guard nodded and as if in a trance walked away. Hunter gestured me towards the studio.

"You know what I am and, yet, you still come down to meet me. You know you're probably not going back upstairs to the party, right?"

"You intrigue me." I said as I walked with him behind me, "And then you flashed your fangs and I was even more intrigued."

We walked into the studio and he shut the door behind him. He was immediately on me, pulling me into his body, his fangs piercing my neck. I grabbed onto the back of his head, holding him there, letting him know I liked it.

What else do you like?" He asked, a bit drunk, after he let go.

"Obviously, I like it rough." I replied. "Did you like your taste?"

"Your blood is so sweet."

"Good." I said as I jabbed the sharp wooden appendage, broken off from a statue upstairs, into his side, crippling him.

"Do everything I say and maybe you'll get more. I'm tired of being everyone's submissive. Tonight, I'm playing differently."

Vampire Friday o4.14.17

Welcome to Vampire Friday!

Last week things were starting to get steamy between Jake and Karlea after they admitted to caring for each other. We continue on where things will get more steamy...

Karlea tried to speak, but couldn't find words. She placed her hand on his cheek, reaching up to kiss him. He pulled her body back against his, the intensity between them igniting on fire.
His fingers, traced the edge of the waistband of her yoga pants to her hips as he continued to kiss her. His hands found their way under the soft fabric, tracing the curves of her hips. He gracefully pulled downward on the fabric. She stepped out of them. He pulled his lips away from hers to kiss her neck all the way down to the top of her breasts that were still being held captive by her bra. His hands brushed her sides traveling upwards as he went back to kissing her. He reached behind her and released her breasts from their captor. He grabbed onto the sides of her lace underwear at her hips and pulled her hips tighter into him before lifting her up. He laid her down onto his bed, still kissing her, her fingers dancing along the edge of the waistband on his black jeans. He pulled away and sat up slightly, unbuttoning them. He leaned back in and kissed her as she pulled the jeans down. Without breaking the kiss, he pulled them off, leaving him in his black briefs. Her fingers immediately finding the waistband, her hand finding him and feeling him, then across his hips to the back of him, her nails slightly digging in, making him crazy.
Jake pulled away. "I haven't done this in a long time." He smiled.
"How long exactly?" She quietly asked.
Jake thought for a second, "With a human...centuries. With a non-human...years. I have to remember to not to hurt you and crush you with my inhuman weight....And not lose control."
He kissed her again, "I suppose if I tell you that you could lose your life doing this, its not going to matter."
Karlea shook her head and pulled him into her, kissing him passionately.

MidWeek Tease o4.12.17

Hi! Welcome to MidWeek Tease! It's been awhile since I've participated. But I'm back to share some snippets from a new story I just took off with for Camp NaNoWriMo. Very much a WIP, so typos and things not making sense might happen.

I don't have a blurb just yet. Its's tentatively titled Blood Wine (??) I don't know if I like it. I had to come up with a title for my Camp NaNo profile and that flew out of my mouth.

It's a vampire erotic romance, you know because that's all I can seem to write ;)
It's about a young, wealthy, Finger Lakes (NY) winery owner and artist, who falls for a woman who works at the art museum.

I'm starting a little after the beginning when Anton Pierce walks into the art museum for opening night of his art exhibition. It is written from Charlotte's point of view, she's tired, already working overtime, and not happy about a later than usual opening reception that she is working. She's supposed to be working the admissions desk and be Mr. Pierce's personal assistant while he is there. She's talking to her co-worker at the beginning of this...

She asked to borrow a pen to write something down. As she wrote, I happened to look up and a see a man walk through the front entrance. He was tall, nicely built, with dark hair that was styled longish past his ear on one side and short on the other. He had wide steel plug earrings in both ears. He was dressed all in black; black suit styled pants, black shirt, and a black suit jacket, all with a gothic flare. The kind of clothing I was usually into. Damn.
“That’s Anton Pierce?” I asked.
Dana looked up. “Yup.” She said nonchalantly and went back to writing, not impressed by him. He looked in my direction and slightly smiled before Jonathan ran up to him to give him details about the night. When Dana was finished she looked at him.
“Poor guy gets accosted by Jonathan as soon as he walks in the door.” She said.
He was staring at me as Jonathan gave him his spiel. I was trying not to show that I noticed.
“He’s younger than I thought he’d be.” I admitted.
“He’s about your age.” Dana replied, “He’s done really well for himself with the winery.”
Dana looked at me, “He’s so your type.”
“I don’t know, rich dudes usually aren’t my thing.” I said.
Dana looked at me, “You might want to change that.”
“He’s cute. But he better not be another whiny artist, I’m not in the mood to put up with his shit.” I said with sass.
Dana laughed. “True. It’s been a long week, I’m ready for the weekend. You should be all set for tomorrow.”
She left the papers on the admissions desk and walked away. She passed by Mr. Pierce and said hello quickly, as Jonathan scurried off. I walked around the desk and made my way over. As I approached, Mr. Pierce looked at me, I noticed his strikingly ice blue eyes. And that he was wearing black eyeliner. Damn it.

“Hi, Mr. Pierce,” I smiled, “I’m Charlotte.” I must have sounded like a robot with a pre-recorded message, giving him a standard intro that everyone was giving him, but I was trying to act professional. It must have come off as I was having a hard time.

He smiled, shaking my hand. I felt bad, my hands were always so damn cold, but his was just as cold, probably from having just been outside
“Please, no Mr. Pierce, call me Anton.” He said. I noticed he had a very slight accent, not American.
“Okay.” I replied. What came next out of my mouth wasn’t even embarrassing, since it came out so natural and with my attitude, as if it were a warning to him.
“Well, I’m your personal servant...slave...assistant tonight.”
“Sorry.” I added, sorry but not really.
Mr. Pierce laughed, “Long day already?”
“Yes, very.” I said.
“Well, I do apologize Miss Charlotte, that I had to request a later than usual reception, my schedule can get a bit crazy sometimes.”
His accent really slipped through when he said my name and the way he had said Miss… I trying my best not to melt. I just kept telling myself I wasn’t looking for anything, I was too damn busy with life.
“Please don’t apologize, it’s really not your fault. I apologize for my attitude. It’s just me. Please let me know if there is anything you need or anything I can get you. I’ll be stuck to that desk most of the night.”
Mr. Pierce laughed.
“Well, I can be very demanding when I want to be. But I assure you I don’t need much, I’m not like most artists who will complain that everything is wrong.”
I wasn’t sure if he was referring to his wine business dealings or something else. I honestly had hoped he meant it in other ways. Stop thinking dirty thoughts, I told myself.
“Perfect.” I smiled, “Now enough of my unprofessionalism...I’m so sorry.”
“Don’t be, I deal with boring by the book professionals every single day. Its nice to meet someone with sense of humor and attitude.”
Jonathan once again, called Mr. Pierce’s name. He acknowledged Jonathan and turned back to me.
“If you would excuse me, Miss Charlotte.” He reached for my hand, “It was a pleasure to meet you.”
He gently kissed the back of my hand.
“Likewise, Mr. Pierce.” I smiled.
“Anton.” He said, staring at me before walking off.
