Mid Week Tease o7.29.15

Welcome to the Mid Week tease!

This is only my second time participating since I have been so busy. My first excerpt I shared was the very beginning of a pirate story I started writing.  This excerpt continues on. Captain Flynn deals with the mutinany on the ship.

Captain Caera Flynn stepped out onto the deck of the captain's cabin with Jack right behind her, to the chaos of six men trying to take over her ship, The Crimson Lust. She stood there watching, swinging her sword around in a circle, waiting for them to make their way to the deck. Most of the loyal crew looked up at the Captain for instructions if they should let the men through or shut this whole thing down. Caera nodded her head a definite no to Connor. Connor reiterated to the rest of the crew to stand down. The crew stood down, raising their hands in the air, surrendering. The men, led by Buckley, made their way over to the stairs and rushed up them in a group, almost not fitting the width of the stairway, single file would have been much more appropriate. It almost made the Captain's serious look, crack into laughter. Jack took a step forward, in line with Caera, just in case this did get out of hand; he didn't want her to take the frontline all by her lonesome.
As the men all ascended to the top of the stairs, they pointed their swords into Caera and Jack's faces. Caera didn't budge, she just stood there, still swinging her sword. Jack on the other hand, raised his eyebrows in how close the tips of the swords were to his face, and took a slight step back.
Caera stopped swinging her sword around. She flipped her sword around and held it by the tip, holding the handle out to Buckley, a man of considerably older age than most on the ship. His face dark and wrinkled from all his years in the ocean sun. His white beard and hair braided. He was old enough to be Caera's grandfather, or perhaps her great grandfather.
"Mr. Buckley," She boomed, "the ship is yours."
The crew seemed to gasp and question her decision quietly in unison. Jack stared at her. He took a slight step to be right next her, knocking her elbow and whispering in her ear, "What are you doing?"
Caera just turned and gave Jack the devish smile of hers. She turned back to face the men.
"Do not question my authority, Mr. Raven." She said, loudly.

Thanks for reading! I have the beginning, but I am still trying to map out the rest and in what order somethings should happen in. Of course it is a pirate story, so there are always many detours during a quest.

WeWriWa o7.26.15

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors/Snippet Sunday!

We continue on with this hot and sexy scene between Armani & Karlea. I was just thinking that I used to warn readers that the heat level was turned up on certain posts, now I just don't. I think most readers and friends know what to expect by now from me. Just label me consistently NSFW.

Armani accepted her invitation, slipping himself inside; they both moaned loudly through their kiss, each thinking the other felt so good. As Armani thrusted, establishing the rhythm, their noises became louder and louder. Armani didn't doubt that his whole building could probably hear them going at it, which made me him smile.
His room wasn't sound proof, like other rooms in his penthouse that were used for specific things. He never brought women into his room because he always intended on killing them afterward. As Karlea commented earlier, he did have a fuck and kill room, among other things.
Normally with the women and vampires he fucked, there was no cause for moaning; he felt euphoria when he fucked but it never felt this incredible where he couldn't control the noises escaping him. Over all the years and centuries he had been alive and undead with all the women/vampires he fucked, all the blood he drank - no one ever felt as good, nor tasted as good as Karlea, and no one ever made him feel the way he felt with her.
He often heard humans and vampires talk about finding "the one", the one they would spend their life or eternity with; Armani never felt it when he was human or vampire, but he finally understood it now. She was it, the only one he could be happy with for the rest of his existence; if he couldn't have her love, he would willingly spend eternity alone, instead of searching for another - another that he knew didn't exist.

When you know, you just know, right? And I went with the 10 sentence limit this time, so no accusing me of teasing :p
I'm joking by the way, I'm still teasing my readers.

Vampire Friday o7.24.15

Welcome to Vampire Friday! My favorite day of the week!

Today, we continue on with my WIP erotic vampire story, called BloodLust. Where we last left off, Vaughn had to have a little taste of Karlea. What will happen when Jake figures it out?

Vaughn watched her from above in the rafters as she returned to her post behind the bar. Her two female co-workers wondering where she was. Vaughn listened in as she lied and made up the excuse that she was in the bathroom. He watched as she made drinks, she still seemed confused from his mind control, which was unusual, most humans moved on rather quickly, not thinking anything of the minutes of memories they had lost. Vaughn began to understand how different she was. The only reason she was still showing signs of confusion was because she was still trying to sort out the moments she had lost, something didn't feel right and she sensed it.
Vaughn reflected on his moment with her. When he slammed her into the wall, she never struggled; he had felt the sense that she liked it. When he went to bite her, she didn't struggle either, and when he did bite her, she didn't scream or try to push him off of her. She was excited by it, she was attracted to both him and Jake. Vaughn smiled, this could be fun.
Vaughn watched as two club goers insisted that she do a shot with them. She finally broke down and agreed, pouring three shots of whiskey. He watched as she slammed the shot down. She sensed something and Vaughn discretely leapt down from the rafters. Vaughn watched from the floor as she looked up towards the ceiling of the club and looked around. She shook her head and went back to making drinks. Vaughn took off to walk around the club.
Karlea continued making drinks, still slightly dazed. She handed the drinks to their respected owners and took their money, putting it in the cash drawer, when she looked up, Jake was standing in front of her. She did her best to smile.
"Hey." She said.
"Hey." Jake smiled.
"Need a drink? We're going to be shutting down soon."

"A glass of wine would be great." He replied.
"The same as before?"
Jake nodded and as she went to get it, he noticed that she wasn't right. In the little time he had known her, he already knew she was off.
"Are you okay?" He asked as she poured the wine.
She looked up at him, dazed. "What?" "Oh, yeah, I'm just tired and I think I drank too much."

She wasn't right.
"I hope I didn't throw you off downstairs and what I did wasn't too inappropriate."
Karlea set the wine glass down in front of him, she leaned as close as she could to him and smiled, her daze broken. The sound of her living heart was loud in his ears. Jake could smell Vaughn's blood on her neck, whatever Vaughn did, he had used mind control on her and she was still confused by it -which brought about other problems that he would deal with later - for now he had to deal with Vaughn. Knowing Vaughn, he was lucky Vaughn didn't turn her.
"What you did was completely inappropriate." She smiled. "And as I said, if you had been anyone else, I would have decked you and beaten you to a bloody pulp. But it was great and I enjoyed it."
Jake smiled, "Good."
"Please excuse me." Jake continued, "I'll be back in few minutes after the crowd has died down."

"Okay." She smiled back.
Jake grabbed his wine and stormed off to find Vaughn. He downed the glass of wine, he was going to need it to control his anger, and set the empty glass down on a table. He listened to his blood to find Vaughn on the dance floor. He cleared himself of his anger to get Vaughn to follow him. Jake walked up to Vaughn and tapped him on the shoulder. Vaughn stopped dancing.
"Can I speak with you for a minute?" Jake asked.
"Always." Vaughn replied smirking, already knowing what this was about. Vaughn followed Jake as he leapt up into the ceiling rafters. Jake walked across the rafters as Vaughn followed right behind. Jake looked down at Karlea as she was serving more drinks, he allowed his anger to return. He turned around, grabbing onto Vaughn and shoved him into the ceiling.
"Why did you drink from her?" Jake yelled, his eyes red and his fangs showing.
Vaughn laughed. "I just had to have a taste."

Jake slammed him into the ceiling again. Vaughn laughed harder.
"Come on, Jake, you know I'm not going to make this easy for you. When have I ever made it easy for you?" Vaughn said through his laughing.
Vaughn had a point, he had never made their years or centuries together easy. Vaughn always had to push Jake to his limits and beyond.

"There's a problem though," Vaughn continued as Jake still slammed him into the ceiling, over and over, "She senses us. Even before I bit her. Mind control worked but she's over thinking it, knowing she's missing minutes of time."
Jake stopped for a second to say, "I noticed. She's all confused and out of sorts."
"She also sensed me up in the rafters watching her. She didn't see me, but she knew." Vaughn said.
Jake slammed him into the ceiling again.
"There's another problem," Vaughn laughed, " Well, I guess it depends on how you see it, but she liked being slammed into a wall and being bitten. She wasn't scared, she didn't scream, and she didn't fight back."

Jake let go of Vaughn and looked down at Karlea.

This would be a good place to stop. What will happen next?
Thanks for reading!

Thursday Taster o7.23.15

Welcome to Thursday Tasters!

We are going to continue on where we left off two weeks ago in my WIP serial killer story, tentatively titled Take Your Life.

My free hand brushed hers as I tried to hold her arm down better. She gripped onto my hand and I tried to use my lower arm and elbow to hold her arm in place, so I didn't have to disrupt her handholding.I put in two more deep stitches before she realized her hand was holding mine. She quickly let go.
"Sorry." She said quietly as I placed my hand back on her arm.
"No worries." I smiled.
I gave her a few more before deciding that she had enough. The tension in her arm eased when I finished up with top layer stitches. I carefully rubbed antibiotic ointment over the stitches.
"Are you okay?" I asked as I placed a thin bandage over her arm.
"Yeah." She replied.
"Do I need to give you after care instructions?"
"No, I'm well versed, thanks." She slightly smiled.
"If you have any trouble with it, just come back and ask for me."
"Thanks, Dr. Emerson."
"We're done here, you don't have to call me that anymore."
"We're still in the hospital, in a patient room, Dr. Emerson." She laughed as she stood up.

"I think you just like calling me that."
"Perhaps."

I saw the rest of her color quickly drain from her face; she had gotten dizzy and was going to pass out. I ran over and caught her in my arms when she lost her balance. My guess was she probably didn't eat this morning.
"I thought I told you not to pass out on me." I said as I smiled, obviously joking with her. I didn't expect her to answer back.
"I'm not very good at following orders." She said quietly.

That totally turned me on.
"Apparently." I replied to her as I quickly scooped her up in my arms and carried her over to the patient examination table.

"Lay here, until you feel better. I'm going to go get you some water."
I left the room, shutting the door and made my way to the vending machines in the ER lobby. I quickly fumbled in my pocket for some change and grabbed a bottle of cold water -let's face it, hospital tap water is nasty - and a bar of chocolate.
I made my way back into the ER as the same nurses from before watched me as I made my way back to the room. I couldn't wait to hear what rumor was going to go around, especially with a pretty girl, chocolate, and a bottle of water.
"Here," I said to Amber, handing her the chocolate bar, "You didn't eat today. This isn't the greatest breakfast, but it will spike your blood sugar faster."
"Thanks." She said, slowly sitting up.

She opened the chocolate bar as I loosened the cap on the water bottle. I watched as she broke off a small square and ate it.
"You need to eat more than that for it to help." I whispered.
"Here," She said as she broke of a third of the bar and handed it to me, "you eat some, too."
I took from her and took a small bite.

"I really don't need this like you do."
"I know." She said, "But at least then I know you didn't drug it or something."
Wait. What?! How did she know I would do something like that?!!
I stared at her.
She laughed, "Relax, I'm kidding, Dr. Emerson."

I smiled and laughed too, as I took another bite of the chocolate. Maybe I should have drugged it. But trying to kidnap her, unconscious, out of the hospital would have been awkward.
She drank some water and ate more chocolate, the color beginning to return to her face.
"Speaking of drugs, do you need me to prescribe you some painkillers in case that starts to hurt too much?"
"I should be fine."
"Are you sure?" I asked, as she went to get off the examination table. I stood in front of her and put my hands on each side of her on the table to stop her. I smiled, "Are you sure you're okay to stand? I wouldn't want to have to rush to your rescue again."
"Oh, is that how you see it?" She said with sarcasm, "Rush to my rescue, your damsel in distress?"
"I think I'm okay." She said normally.

I moved and watched her carefully as she stood up. She seemed to be okay. She grabbed her shirt off of the chair.
"Thank you, Dr. Emerson." She said seriously. "I really do owe you one."
"You're welcome." I said humbly. Then I slipped in, "You don't owe me anything but to have dinner with me tonight."
She took a step towards me and laughed, "Is this how you pick up women, your patients at the hospital?"
"No." I said as I looked at her, "I don't ever pick up women at the hospital. I don't ever pick up women, period. I'm always too busy. You would be the first in a very long time."
It was somewhat true, the only women I picked up lately were the unconscious ones. I hadn't actually dated in almost three years, other hobbies got in the way. It would be too hard managing what I do outside the hospital and have a significant other. Their life would constantly be in danger. What I was doing with her, Amber, I don't know. All I know is I wouldn't be able to move on until I had her.

"Plus, I don't really consider you a patient. You didn't fill out any paperwork." I added.
She smiled, not knowing what to say, so I also added, "And in case I do get in trouble with my chief..."
"Okay, okay, okay. I'll have dinner with you tonight." She said caving.
"Great." I smiled as I pulled out my phone, taking step forward to hand it to her. "Your phone number so I can text you when I get out of here and get your address."
She laughed and filled out her info. When she handed me back my phone, I texted her.
"You know, in case you gave me the wrong number, on purpose."

Her phone beeped and she pulled it out of her pocket as she laughed.
"That is so something I would do." She admitted.
"I know."
"But this time I didn't." She added as she opened her text and showed me. She played with her phone for a second, I could only guess that she added me to her contacts.

"I'll probably pick you up around eight or so." I said as I walked her out.
"Okay. Sounds good."
I walked with her to the exit of the hospital.
"You're not going to blow me off, are you?" I asked as she went to walk out.
"I won't. I'll see you around eight, Dr. Emerson."

I watched as she walked out and down the long sidewalk to the street. My shift at the hospital was going to be a very long one.

I think their "date" might happen next Thursday Tasters. Thanks for reading! You can read more great authors here.

WeWriWa o7.19.15

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors/Snippet Sunday!

I hope everyone is doing great, as we continue on with this hot little scene with Armani & Karlea...

Armani's tongue felt so incredible on her, she could barely hold on; she wriggled her wrists from his gasp just enough to turn her hands palm up and grab onto his wrists, digging her nails into him.
Armani kept caressing her as he felt her tense up around him, the rest of her body unable to move from feeling so good and relaxed. She was about to come, and just as she did, Armani bit down, her blood filling his mouth as she screamed out her orgasm. Armani had promised her a screamfest when he met her at Flesh - although he meant it in another way - however, this was so much better. He let go of her wrists and sat up, smiling at her as he wiped the blood from his mouth. She smiled, out of breath and sat up, wrapping her arms around his neck.
"That was incredible," She whispered.
Armani raised his eyebrows and smiled again, she kissed him passionately as she pulled him down and parted her legs for him, as an invitation.

Ugh...that 8 sentence limit again :p More next week!

WeWriWa o7.12.15

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors/Snippet Sunday!

Continuing on with this hot little scene with Armani...

He waited until he thought her anticipation of being bitten was gone and until she was most sensitive, then he bit down again. She yelled out in pleasure even louder than the last time. Armani loved this; he loved how pain from a vampire bite was pleasure for her. In his experience, most humans he had willing sexual relations with, didn't really look forward to being bitten often because it hurt like fuck.
He quickly moved down lower; kissing the inside of her thigh. As her blood filled his mouth, he sensed how much more she was turned on by this, it wasn't going to be long before she completely melted for him. He moved over to the other thigh and tickled her with his tongue causing her to giggle uncontrollably....and then biting down. She yelled out and Armani sensed she was almost at the height of pleasure; he quickly reached for her most intimate area...

Ugh...I have to stop there. 8 sentence restrictions :p

Vampire Friday o7.1o.15

Welcome to Vampire Friday, my favorite day of the week!

We continue on from where we last left off: where Jake had kissed Karlea and met Vaughn on the stairs after. Vaughn calling Jake hopeless...
Vaughn
"Perhaps." Jake just smiled.
Vaughn thought he was too happy to not have gotten something from Karlea.
"You did bite her at least, right?" Vaughn said.
Jake just shrugged his shoulders and raised his eyebrows. Vaughn stopped dead in his tracks to read Jake's blood. Then caught back up with him.
"You kissed her."
"That alcohol must have really calmed the craving." Jake replied sarcastically.
Vaughn shook his head. "It doesn't calm it that much."

"I don't know." Jake said, seriously. "We were in the dark and I had the urge to kiss her, the urge to bite her was gone."
"When love takes over..." Vaughn said.
"Shit, Jake, you're in trouble. Loving a human, never goes well. You know that."
"I know." Jake said, sadly, reminded of his past. "But I'm not in love with her. I just met her."
"Keep telling yourself that." Vaughn said before disappearing, leaving Jake alone.
Jake decided to go by the dance floor and watch people dance, and contemplate the kiss.

When Vaughn showed up in front of the bar, Karlea had her back turned, stocking the shelves. She looked over her shoulder and saw Vaughn.
"Hey," she said, turning around, "need a drink?"
I so do, Vaughn said to himself.

"I was wondering if I could talk to you for a minute?" Vaughn smiled.
"Yeah, of course. Hold on."
Karlea quickly put the rest of the bottles on the shelf and broke down the box, shoving it behind the tall garbage can. She went over to Vaughn, facing him from across the bar. Vaughn looked around.
"Can we go somewhere a little more private?"
"Yeah, sure."
She walked down the length of the bar and exited, Vaughn standing right there. She went to question how he had gotten there so much faster than her, but she quickly dismissed it. Karlea followed Vaughn to an area of the club that wasn't as crowded. Vaughn reached back and grabbed her arm. He pulled her and wrapped his arm around her as he slammed her against the wall. He pulled slightly on her hair so he could expose her neck and then sunk his fangs in. Her blood was sweet and tasted as good as she smelled. He stopped himself and let go, wiping his mouth on his sleeve.
"Damn, you taste amazing." He said.
Karlea was breathing heavily.
"What are you?" She questioned calmly.
Vaughn put both of his hands on her face and looked into her eyes.
"You are captivating." He said.

"As are you." She replied.
"Vampire. But you need to forget all this now and go back to work as if nothing happened." Vaughn said, still staring into her eyes.
He kissed her forehead, "Bye Karlea, I will see you again soon."

He quickly bit his finger and wiped a drop of blood across her bite marks, healing them.
"Go." He said.
Karlea started to walk back to the bar, after a few feet she stopped, snapping out of her trance. She turned around, but Vaughn was nowhere. She was really confused of what had just happened - was she supposed to have a conversation with Vaughn or did she imagine that? No time to worry about it though, she looked at the bar and noticed the wave of people. She ran back over.

Thursday Taster o7.o9.15

Welcome to Thursday Tasters!
I hope everyone is doing well. Although you may not be after you read this excerpt ;)
It continues on from where we last left off with my serial killer story...
"Shouldn't you be wearing gloves, Dr. Emerson?" She questioned, "I'm going to bleed all over you."
Shit, I was so into her I forgot to put on gloves. My work at home required no gloves; it was about the touch - about the feeling of skin on your fingertips, the feel of the knife in your hand, the feel of the blood dripping down, all without latex in between. I thought I was at home with her. And she was going to bleed.

"Stuart. And you are absolutely right, I should." I got up and grabbed gloves off of the desk. I don't know why I was so insistent that she call me by my first name - I guess because I was helping her out.
"While I am your patient, you are Dr. Emerson. Stuart is for other times." She said.
I couldn't tell if she was trying to be cute or serious.
"No need to be proper Miss Hurley because what I'm doing is anything but proper. This is hardly by hospital procedure."
I searched the cabinet for a stitching kit and towels to wipe the blood. I sat back down across from her and put on the gloves.
"I don't want to get you in trouble." She said, generally concerned.
I smiled at her as I put her arm on the surgical cloth, "Don't worry about it, I'll handle it if a problem arises."
Given my status at the hospital as one of the top surgeons, I highly doubted anyone would say anything to me nor the Chief of Surgery, for stitching up an injured EMT without the proper paperwork. I wiped her arm of the blood and got ready to clean the wound.

"You know this is going to sting a bit." I said plainly.
She shook her head that she knew and I continued onward, putting the disinfectant on her arm. I noticed that she was biting her lower lip.
"That is the most annoying feeling." She said, letting go of her lip.
I finished up and started to prep for the stitches.
"I need to get you numbed up." I said, but then realized I had no numbing agent in the kit. That wasn't even on purpose, just fate.
"Hold on, I need to find some numbing agent."

I searched the cabinets, but there wasn't any.
"I need to go hunt some down." I said as I shut the door to the cabinet.

"Don't worry about it." She said. "Let's just get this done, its just stitches."
I went back over to her.
"Are you sure?"
"I've been through worse. Besides, you're a heart surgeon, I trust you have the steadiest of hands, so it won't be that bad."

She's been through worse? She really did have a story behind her, and now, I was more curious to know what it was.
I sat back down across from her. "Do I need to hold you down?"

"I would, just in case."
I held her arm down as I went to start.
"You better not pass out on me." I said sternly, my accent coming through again.
"I won't." She smiled.
The first was a bit hard for her, but it usually is for anyone. After that she relaxed a bit and the next ten went in with no problem. By the tenth, her arm was probably already numb on its own. I decided it was best to give her more, some that were deeper just in case the knife wound was more serious and just in case the top stitches ripped. These she felt, her arm tensing up, and I could see color starting to fade from her face. If she lasted this long, she was going to be a delight in my basement.

I think this is a good place to stop. Thanks for reading, and please comment, I love reading your comments!

WeWriWa o7.o5.15

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors/Snippet Sunday! Well, actually I kicked of the WeWriWa list because I was too tired from grilling and setting off a few fireworks to finish my post. But Snippet Sunday is still a go!

So, here we go! Continuing on from last week with our erotic scene with Armani. Yum yum...

Armani continued to kiss her down her body, moving her arms from being pinned above her head to being pinned near her sides. As soon as he reached her stomach, she started to squirm and giggle, but with her wrists being pinned down and the weight of Armani on top of her, it was hard for her to move too much. Armani absolutely loved the sound she was making, so he continued to kiss and caress her stomach. He wondered what noise she would make if he bit down. He moved his tongue over her stomach to her side and sunk his teeth in. She moaned loudly and Armani sensed how much more it aroused her. He let go of her and slowly made his over to her other side; biting down when he felt the time was right, enjoying her noises. He could easily do this all night; he let go and caressed the same side again, waiting...

I could keep going because this is only going to show on Snippet Sunday, but I think this a good place to stop. I am playing with an idea to start writing little snippets of Armani & Karlea in their own points of view. Debating if I should do it via its own dedicated blog or if I should give them each a blog and have them write it like its their own blog post, or just straight up write the damn thing. But I think it will be interesting to see more of their thoughts on each other. Hey, if E.L. James can do it with the garbage she wrote, why can't I?. Sorry not a big fan of hers.
