WeWriWa o7.12.15

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors/Snippet Sunday!

Continuing on with this hot little scene with Armani...

He waited until he thought her anticipation of being bitten was gone and until she was most sensitive, then he bit down again. She yelled out in pleasure even louder than the last time. Armani loved this; he loved how pain from a vampire bite was pleasure for her. In his experience, most humans he had willing sexual relations with, didn't really look forward to being bitten often because it hurt like fuck.
He quickly moved down lower; kissing the inside of her thigh. As her blood filled his mouth, he sensed how much more she was turned on by this, it wasn't going to be long before she completely melted for him. He moved over to the other thigh and tickled her with his tongue causing her to giggle uncontrollably....and then biting down. She yelled out and Armani sensed she was almost at the height of pleasure; he quickly reached for her most intimate area...

Ugh...I have to stop there. 8 sentence restrictions :p

Vampire Friday o7.1o.15

Welcome to Vampire Friday, my favorite day of the week!

We continue on from where we last left off: where Jake had kissed Karlea and met Vaughn on the stairs after. Vaughn calling Jake hopeless...
Vaughn
"Perhaps." Jake just smiled.
Vaughn thought he was too happy to not have gotten something from Karlea.
"You did bite her at least, right?" Vaughn said.
Jake just shrugged his shoulders and raised his eyebrows. Vaughn stopped dead in his tracks to read Jake's blood. Then caught back up with him.
"You kissed her."
"That alcohol must have really calmed the craving." Jake replied sarcastically.
Vaughn shook his head. "It doesn't calm it that much."

"I don't know." Jake said, seriously. "We were in the dark and I had the urge to kiss her, the urge to bite her was gone."
"When love takes over..." Vaughn said.
"Shit, Jake, you're in trouble. Loving a human, never goes well. You know that."
"I know." Jake said, sadly, reminded of his past. "But I'm not in love with her. I just met her."
"Keep telling yourself that." Vaughn said before disappearing, leaving Jake alone.
Jake decided to go by the dance floor and watch people dance, and contemplate the kiss.

When Vaughn showed up in front of the bar, Karlea had her back turned, stocking the shelves. She looked over her shoulder and saw Vaughn.
"Hey," she said, turning around, "need a drink?"
I so do, Vaughn said to himself.

"I was wondering if I could talk to you for a minute?" Vaughn smiled.
"Yeah, of course. Hold on."
Karlea quickly put the rest of the bottles on the shelf and broke down the box, shoving it behind the tall garbage can. She went over to Vaughn, facing him from across the bar. Vaughn looked around.
"Can we go somewhere a little more private?"
"Yeah, sure."
She walked down the length of the bar and exited, Vaughn standing right there. She went to question how he had gotten there so much faster than her, but she quickly dismissed it. Karlea followed Vaughn to an area of the club that wasn't as crowded. Vaughn reached back and grabbed her arm. He pulled her and wrapped his arm around her as he slammed her against the wall. He pulled slightly on her hair so he could expose her neck and then sunk his fangs in. Her blood was sweet and tasted as good as she smelled. He stopped himself and let go, wiping his mouth on his sleeve.
"Damn, you taste amazing." He said.
Karlea was breathing heavily.
"What are you?" She questioned calmly.
Vaughn put both of his hands on her face and looked into her eyes.
"You are captivating." He said.

"As are you." She replied.
"Vampire. But you need to forget all this now and go back to work as if nothing happened." Vaughn said, still staring into her eyes.
He kissed her forehead, "Bye Karlea, I will see you again soon."

He quickly bit his finger and wiped a drop of blood across her bite marks, healing them.
"Go." He said.
Karlea started to walk back to the bar, after a few feet she stopped, snapping out of her trance. She turned around, but Vaughn was nowhere. She was really confused of what had just happened - was she supposed to have a conversation with Vaughn or did she imagine that? No time to worry about it though, she looked at the bar and noticed the wave of people. She ran back over.

Thursday Taster o7.o9.15

Welcome to Thursday Tasters!
I hope everyone is doing well. Although you may not be after you read this excerpt ;)
It continues on from where we last left off with my serial killer story...
"Shouldn't you be wearing gloves, Dr. Emerson?" She questioned, "I'm going to bleed all over you."
Shit, I was so into her I forgot to put on gloves. My work at home required no gloves; it was about the touch - about the feeling of skin on your fingertips, the feel of the knife in your hand, the feel of the blood dripping down, all without latex in between. I thought I was at home with her. And she was going to bleed.

"Stuart. And you are absolutely right, I should." I got up and grabbed gloves off of the desk. I don't know why I was so insistent that she call me by my first name - I guess because I was helping her out.
"While I am your patient, you are Dr. Emerson. Stuart is for other times." She said.
I couldn't tell if she was trying to be cute or serious.
"No need to be proper Miss Hurley because what I'm doing is anything but proper. This is hardly by hospital procedure."
I searched the cabinet for a stitching kit and towels to wipe the blood. I sat back down across from her and put on the gloves.
"I don't want to get you in trouble." She said, generally concerned.
I smiled at her as I put her arm on the surgical cloth, "Don't worry about it, I'll handle it if a problem arises."
Given my status at the hospital as one of the top surgeons, I highly doubted anyone would say anything to me nor the Chief of Surgery, for stitching up an injured EMT without the proper paperwork. I wiped her arm of the blood and got ready to clean the wound.

"You know this is going to sting a bit." I said plainly.
She shook her head that she knew and I continued onward, putting the disinfectant on her arm. I noticed that she was biting her lower lip.
"That is the most annoying feeling." She said, letting go of her lip.
I finished up and started to prep for the stitches.
"I need to get you numbed up." I said, but then realized I had no numbing agent in the kit. That wasn't even on purpose, just fate.
"Hold on, I need to find some numbing agent."

I searched the cabinets, but there wasn't any.
"I need to go hunt some down." I said as I shut the door to the cabinet.

"Don't worry about it." She said. "Let's just get this done, its just stitches."
I went back over to her.
"Are you sure?"
"I've been through worse. Besides, you're a heart surgeon, I trust you have the steadiest of hands, so it won't be that bad."

She's been through worse? She really did have a story behind her, and now, I was more curious to know what it was.
I sat back down across from her. "Do I need to hold you down?"

"I would, just in case."
I held her arm down as I went to start.
"You better not pass out on me." I said sternly, my accent coming through again.
"I won't." She smiled.
The first was a bit hard for her, but it usually is for anyone. After that she relaxed a bit and the next ten went in with no problem. By the tenth, her arm was probably already numb on its own. I decided it was best to give her more, some that were deeper just in case the knife wound was more serious and just in case the top stitches ripped. These she felt, her arm tensing up, and I could see color starting to fade from her face. If she lasted this long, she was going to be a delight in my basement.

I think this is a good place to stop. Thanks for reading, and please comment, I love reading your comments!

WeWriWa o7.o5.15

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors/Snippet Sunday! Well, actually I kicked of the WeWriWa list because I was too tired from grilling and setting off a few fireworks to finish my post. But Snippet Sunday is still a go!

So, here we go! Continuing on from last week with our erotic scene with Armani. Yum yum...

Armani continued to kiss her down her body, moving her arms from being pinned above her head to being pinned near her sides. As soon as he reached her stomach, she started to squirm and giggle, but with her wrists being pinned down and the weight of Armani on top of her, it was hard for her to move too much. Armani absolutely loved the sound she was making, so he continued to kiss and caress her stomach. He wondered what noise she would make if he bit down. He moved his tongue over her stomach to her side and sunk his teeth in. She moaned loudly and Armani sensed how much more it aroused her. He let go of her and slowly made his over to her other side; biting down when he felt the time was right, enjoying her noises. He could easily do this all night; he let go and caressed the same side again, waiting...

I could keep going because this is only going to show on Snippet Sunday, but I think this a good place to stop. I am playing with an idea to start writing little snippets of Armani & Karlea in their own points of view. Debating if I should do it via its own dedicated blog or if I should give them each a blog and have them write it like its their own blog post, or just straight up write the damn thing. But I think it will be interesting to see more of their thoughts on each other. Hey, if E.L. James can do it with the garbage she wrote, why can't I?. Sorry not a big fan of hers.

WeWriWa o6.28.15

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors / Snippet Sunday! I hope you are having a relaxing, warm, summer Sunday! I love summer, although it could be a bit warmer in Oakland. I love when its overcast and warm, and about to rain. I love summer rain. Unfortunately, that doesn't happen here. We really need rain! Los Angeles was so perfect last weekend.

Okay, onward...this hot snippet continues on from last week's hot snippet...

Armani used his vampire speed to appear on top of her, quickly grabbing her wrists and pinning them down above her head, making her jump in surprise. She squirmed as water fell off of his hair onto her. Armani held both of her wrists with one hand as he pushed his wet hair out of his face with the other. He went back to holding her wrists with both of his hands as he leaned down and kissed her. He pulled away from her lips and slowly made his way down her neck, kissing her skin. He caressed an area of her neck with his tongue before biting down, making her moan. He pulled away and continued down her chest, kissing her skin again. His kissed the side of her breast before sinking his teeth back into her.

Unfortunately that is 8 :(

Vampire Friday o6.26.15

Welcome to Vampire Friday, my favorite day of the week!

This week's continues right where we left off last week.

Jake watched Karlea as she worked the bar, almost like an animal watching its prey. He noticed her leave the bar and head down the stairs that were located behind the back wall of the bar that led to the bathrooms. Jake smiled deviously at Vaughn.
"Go get her, tiger." Vaughn laughed.
Jake took off towards the stairs, tuning into her scent, which he used to find which direction she went after she went down the stairs. She had gone down the hallway opposite the bathrooms. The hallway was littered with extra furniture and club backstock, at the very end was a door that opened to a room of alcohol backstock.

Karlea went through the backstock, emptying out a box to use to put all the alcohol she needed to restock in it. The lightbulb in the hanging socket started to flicker as Karlea looked up it. She tried to reach it to screw it in tighter, but she was just an inch too short. Karlea sighed and returned to searching for the alcohol she needed. She heard footsteps behind her near the door.
"The bathrooms are down the other hall." She called out as she put the bottles she was holding in the box.
She looked over her shoulder and saw Jake. She turned around.
"Oh, hey." She said.
"Sorry I went the wrong way." Jake said, staring at her with no intent of turning around and heading the other way.
"It happens." Karlea smiled.
"See, I told you I would get your shirt dirty." She quickly said, not wanting Jake to leave. She pointed the wet spot on the shirt and laughed. The light flickered and went out, leaving only the shadow of Jake in the doorway, the light from the hallway behind him.
"Damn it." Karlea said as she stretched for the lightbulb.
Jake used his vampire speed to appear in front of her. He put his hands on her hips, and felt her jump. He could feel his eyes had turned red and dangerous, and his blood was burning in him. He could drain her and leave her body on top of the boxes of alcohol; no one would ever know it was him, since the club opened up to Flesh patrons, there was a number of vampires that could have done it. He knew the owner of Virtu, Matt, was a vampire, but he didn't think that Matt let his employees know what he was. Karlea probably had no clue that vampires existed.
"I suppose I should take it off of you then." Jake said as he pulled her into him. She didn't resist and instead of going for her neck, Jake planted his lips on hers, each of them feeling the spark. They kissed long and hard, Karlea wrapping her arms around him. Jake's fingers got tangled in her hair. He pushed her back into the boxes, his knee caught in between her legs as he pushed into her.

The light flickered back on and Jake was relieved that he could feel his eyes had returned to normal before she could see them. Jake pulled away from her lips and pulled her up with him, so she was standing back on her feet. They smiled at each other.
"That was ummm..." Karlea blushed, trying to find words.
"Yeah." Jake replied, smiling. "I should probably go use the bathroom."
"I should probably get this box upstairs." Karlea said.
"I'll see you up there then."
"Yeah."
Jake turned around and used a normal human speed to walk away towards the bathrooms.
Vaughn watched curiously as he saw Karlea walk up the stairs carrying the box of alcohol.
He went by the stairs just as Jake was walking up them.
"Hopeless." He said to Jake.

I totally rewrote this scene and cut out a ton that the original had, oh and they never kissed in the original. Let me know what you think. Thanks for reading!

Thursday Taster o6.25.15

Welcome to Thursday Tasters!

This week we will continue on with the serial killer story I am writing. This excerpt continues right where we left off...

She took a breath and turned around to walk back with me to the ER. I took a quick peek at her name badge pinned to the pocket of her uniform shirt, A. Hurley.
"Not that way. We'll go through a different way, so you don't have to run into ex -partners again. I think you have had enough for one day." I said.
I motioned for her to follow me.
She laughed slightly as we walked, "He's actually my superior."
I led her to a locked door, swiping my hospital badge to unlock it. The back way through the ER.
"Well, you won't have to see him again." I smiled.
"Thanks."
After we walked through the door, I turned to face her. "That patient survived because of you."
"You don't understand," she said, "I'm the reason he went into cardiac arrest."
She paused, trying to figure out if she should tell me more. She probably realized it would be best to explain because she continued on.
"We arrived to help him, a neighbor had called it in. I went near him not warned that he had a knife on him. He did this." She lifted up her arm. "Instead of backing off, I disarmed him. Because waiting for NYPD to show, well, you know how long that will take...and then he went into cardiac."
"You did the right thing." I reassured her. "The amount of drugs and alcohol in his system, he was bound for cardiac anyway."
She didn't look to sure.
"Hey, it doesn't matter, all that matters is you saved his life. In the end thats all its about."
She shook her head. We continued onward as I looked for a room we could use; doctors and nurses looking at us as we passed, obviously having come through the staff only back door. They must have been wondering what I was doing. I'm sure the gossip would go around the hospital like fire.
"Here, we can go in here." I said as I motioned for her to go in first. I followed behind her and shut the door.
"Have a seat." I said, motioning to the table. She sat and watched as I went to sit across from her, checking out my hospital badge.
"I've been to this hospital a lot, Dr. Emerson, I've never seen you in the ER before."
"I'm helping out today. We were short staffed. Normally I'm upstairs."
"What department?"
"I'm a heart surgeon." I smiled.
"I enjoy the emergencies of the ER." I admitted.
"Me too." She said with a smile.
"So, what's next for you?" I questioned.
"I don't know." She said, sadly.
"Med school."
"Med school? I don't know about that. I kinda liked being on the frontlines."
"This ER is always looking for doctors."
She laughed.
"Let me see." I said motioning for her arm.
She lifted her arm towards me, without thinking I slipped my left hand into hers for support, but I held it too tight, squeezing her hand as if we were lovers walking along the beach. She got nervous and pulled away.
"Sorry." I apologized.
"Its okay." She said, realizing she probably shouldn't have freaked out. She really had a trust issue.
She gave me her arm back and I slipped my hand around hers being more aware to grab it loosely.
I started to unwind the quickly done bandage around her arm. I could tell it was going to be bad.
"You're going to need stitches." I said, "It might be best if you take of your uniform shirt before I unwrap this completely."
Even though her uniform shirt was short sleeve, the sleeve was going to get annoying. Plus, maybe I just wanted to see her without it on. She unbuttoned it and pulled it off almost seductively.
More of her tattoos showed and I was quite surprised at how many she had. I could only imagine how many more there were that I couldn't see. She handed me back her arm and I resumed holding her hand and unwrapping it.
"Do you always help female EMT's that are in trouble, Dr. Emerson."
"Stuart." I said. "And no, i usually don't have EMT's that need help falling into my lap. You would be the first, Miss Hurley."
"Amber." She said. "And thanks for your help."
"You're welcome." I said, my Irish accent accidentally coming out thick.
She smiled. "I hear that you are Irish. How long have you been in New York?"
I pulled the rest of her bandage off, it was stuck the wound. She didn't flinch as I pulled it off.
"Sorry." I said.
"No worries."
"I've been here a while. Since my college days. Med school at Columbia." I said as I looked over her wound, "I'm originally from outside Dublin."
I smiled, "I grew up on a farm. I see from your last name that you have some heritage as well."
"Yeah, both my parents are Irish. My great, great grandparents immigrated here or something like that."
"Have you ever been?"
"Unfortunately no."
"Well, thats too bad. You should really go sometime, its beautiful."
"Perhaps. Maybe that will be next."
"I would still be there, if Columbia hadn't of recruited me and now this hospital and other things. One day I'll go back when the time is right."
I looked at her and realized, not only was I giving away too much, but I was also flirting with her, which is not something I do. I wondered how her scream was going to sound. I looked away quickly and back at her wound.
"You definitely need a good bunch of stitches."
She didn't need that many, but I wasn't going to make this easy for her. I was already aching to see her pain tolerance.
