If you did not have a chance to read last week's post, you may want to before you read the one below. Last week's post tells you who has Karlea :) This week's continues right where that one left off.
Armani felt it, her blood boiling, the final evidence that the bloodbond worked.
"I would not do that." Armani said, Mikal looking at him. "Piss her off, by threatening my life. She's extremely full of my blood."
As Mikal listened to her heart beat and smelled the mix of her human blood and Armani's, he became even more unsteady. Armani glanced at Karlea, as if speaking to her with his stare. Immediately the fury within her took over, and she used all of her strength to throw Mikal off of her.
Too bad he didn't pay attention to the scent of her blood. He's obviously not a professional at this.

So he should have paid attention to the scent of her blood... Hmm... I'm intrigued to know why. :)
ReplyDeleteThese two feed off of each other, whether Karlea wants it this way or not. If Mikal had really paid attention to the scent of her blood, he would have known how high on Armani's blood she was and that his plan wouldn't have worked.
DeleteThanks for reading!
Interesting twist--that his blood has made her more powerful! Nicely done, Siren! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteIntense as always when talking about these two terrific characters. Loved the snippet!
ReplyDeleteAwww... thank you Veronica! What you said means so much to me :)
DeleteSo the blood bond makes them aware of each other and feeds power back and forth? Cool.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Armani will use this to his advantage ;)
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I like how the blood bond works for your characters.
ReplyDeleteThanks! :)
DeleteI knew this was coming, whoever Mikal is, he seriously isn't too smart.
ReplyDeleteHe isn't. He's probably new to this vampire thing
Delete;)
