Six Sentence Sunday o5.13.12

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers visiting my blog today!

This week we continue on...
“Better make that a bottle,” Vaughn chimed in before Karlea could speak. He grinned at her, knowing her thoughts about Jake and how she was now having trouble focusing on her task at hand.
“Okay,” She responded, “and what can I get you?”
“A bottle of Tempranillo, if you have it.” Vaughn said sweetly, staring at her.
“Yeah, we have it,” Karlea said as she met his eyes, suddenly just as charmed by his gaze.

Six Sentence Sunday o5.o6.12

She was shocked by the flood of emotion she felt; after Danny, she was afraid to get near anyone, but he was different.
She wanted to kiss him; she wanted to bring him his drink and just kiss him. She was almost embarrassed by the fact that she wanted to do more than that. Wanting to rip off his clothes and just do him on the bar.
“Can I get a glass of Cabret Sauvignon, please?” His voice snapping her out of it and remembering the real reason she was standing in front of him - her job as a bartender.

No intro today. Just wanted to start it off right away.

Thank you for taking the time to read my snippet. Please comment, I love comments! And I always comment back on yours in return.

Six Sentence Sunday 04.29.12

Its Sunday, yay! Time for another snippet!
Continuing on from last week...

His eyes seemed to stare right through her; like she didn’t have to tell him anything about her, he already knew. They seemed to glow the moment she stood in front of him, along with the smile that came across his perfect face. And his voice...how it drew her in and he had only said one word. It echoed in her heart. Her heart felt like it was melting inside her chest.
She felt safe near him; like nothing would hurt her.

Six Sentence Sunday o4.22.12

Happy Earth Day!

We are going to pick up where we left off last week.  Karlea has come over to Jake and Vaughn finally and she loses herself in Jake.

She had eyed him across the bar earlier, but now up close he was more than just hot; he was the most beautiful man she had ever seen. His chin length, straight, dark hair accented his pale skin in just the right combination. He wasn't so pale that he looked dead - like most of goth clubgoers, who put way too much white face powder on, making it apparent that it was fake. His skin tone was naturally pale; his dark hair making it look slightly paler; she would have been surprised if she found that his paleness was makeup induced.
She noticed his blue-grey eyes from the light of the bar. They reminded her of the water at the pier during a warm summer storm.

Well, that's six - so more to come next week. I will continue this.

Now go check out more sixers here.

And now go do something nice to celebrate our Earth!

Six Sentence Sunday o4.15.12

The moment you have all been waiting for...

The bartender rushed over, “Hey guys, sorry about the wait. What can I get you?”

Your blood in a chalice, Vaughn said in his thoughts, Jake able to hear him. Jake slightly elbowed Vaughn as he smiled at her, “Hi.”

“Hi...” She trailed off, losing herself in Jake and almost forgetting what she was doing; why she was there, why she was even talking to him; the purpose of their encounter.

I know you are craving for more, but it will have to wait until next week!

Six Sentence Sunday o4.o8.12

Time for another Six Sentence Sunday. This week's snippet builds on last week's. Jake and Vaughn are waiting at the bar, watching the female bartender work after daydreaming that they killed her.

Sort of what Vaughn looks like
“There is the possibility that if you kill her, you will still crave her; no other blood will do and then you will starve.” Vaughn said with all seriousness. Vaughn watched as Jake looked up and at the bartender, watching her work with an intense lust in his eyes.
“In all the years since I made you, I have never seen you like this. Its almost scary, I think I like it.” Vaughn grinned.

Note on Vaughn - I picture him as looking like Henry from Blood Ties with the cockiness/money of Josef from Moonlight.

Six Sentence Sunday o4.o1.12

Jake looked around the bar, she was still alive, making drinks for a couple a few feet away; she looked at him and smiled.
“Was it good for you?” Vaughn grinned, “Because I enjoyed it.”

Jake looked down trying to regain control, “A few drinks will control the craving.”

“You can drink all the drinks in the world, I don’t think they’ll calm your craving for this particular girl, until she’s dead and gone.” Vaughn replied.
