I want to send a special thank you to all of our service men and women out there in the world for risking their lives every day to protect our freedom. I don't care if they are American, Canadian, British; celebrating Memorial Day or not, they all deserve a thank you for the hard work that they do!
I also want to send an apology to anyone who has commented on my blog and I have not replied back and/or commented on your own six sentence sunday. The last few weeks have been crazy. And will only continue to get crazier over these summer months; kids home from school and possibly relocating to California!!! Which means going through all of our stuff, boxing it, selling it on ebay/garage sale, and the actual move. I want to be in Cali more than anything, but not looking forward to moving again!
This week's snippet occurs a few moments after the last snippet. Karlea has retrieved the bottles of wine and goes back over to them to open them as she strikes up a conversation, although she is usually confident, she notices that she has suddenly become self-conscious and a bit nervous around Jake and Vaughn...
She looked at them as she started to open the first bottle, hoping her slightly shaking hand wasn't visible to them, “Are you guys from Flesh, I’ve never seen you here before.”
Vaughn nodded his head.
“Sorry to hear about the fire, its been busy since Matt opened up the club to Flesh patrons. I guess I never realized how big Flesh was.”
“You’ve never been there.” Vaughn grinned, he revelled in thought of bringing fresh meat to the vampire club; Karlea's shock of vampires actually existing, Vaughn keeping her safe from the other vampires at the club, and eventually having his way with her.
