Where we last left off, Karlea remembered everything from the night before. She was getting a bit close and comfy on Armani before she realized he used his mind control ability to make her forget. He was basically testing her. The last line when we left off, was her asking if she had said no to remembering their night, what he would have done. First line is Armani's.
Karlea almost breathed a sigh a relief, knowing that if her decision was to stay in the dark about their night together, he would have respected it. Not that it really mattered, it wouldn't get her out of this situation. She would need Armani near always, even if they didn't have a romantic or sexual relationship because of the bloodbond, unless she wanted to die over it. However, compared to the completely savage vampires she had encountered with Jake, Armani wasn't so bad, and probably not worth dying over, they would just need to work out some kind of arrangement. But knowing how dominating Armani was, it probably wouldn't be the arrangement she'd want. She still hated him for kidnapping her the way he did.
Karlea relaxed her arms and although Armani still held onto her wrists, he let her lower them.
Armani smirked. "Unless, I felt like being cruel, then you would have remembered anyway."
It's probably a good thing Armani is still holding on to her.
