WeWriWa o3.13.22

Welcome to Weekend Writing Warriors / Snippet Sunday!

Continuing on with my serial killer WIP. My main character, Dennis, is in The Gentleman's Club for what he calls his hot date (with a stripper) She is just finishing his lap dance...

She turned around on me, giving me a view of her butt as she pulled up her bralette. I stuffed her lap dance money in the middle strap of her panties, letting my fingers linger against her flesh, usually, they wanted payment beforehand, but Serena trusted me and knew I would pay well for it. She found her mini skirt and shrug and put them back on.

“I have to get ready for my next performance.”

I nodded, “I’ll be watching.”

She smiled and tapped my chest with her stiletto before walking off. I don’t know how she balanced in those so well, especially with the drinking. I knew I wasn’t the only one she was sharing shots with during the course of a night, and before I arrived at the club. Her shift started at four and I didn’t usually arrive until seven, and now with Derrick gone, eight. She had to have a few with other patrons during that time. I also knew that there were drugs going on backstage. Maybe her years dancin', made it possible to keep her balance. I was curious to see what she did every night before I arrived, the day crowd probably being retired old men and truckers.

    1. Thanks! Yeah he's not some dumb hillbilly although he may somewhat look like one being around all the hot people of L.A. lol.

  2. "With Derrick gone..." Still curious as to what happened to his brother. And now, why that made him later.

    1. It was mentioned earlier that he's late because he's running the shop by himself without his brother.
      Thanks for reading!

  3. Muscle memory. The strength of her legs. Years of practise. Dancers can balance under the most extreme conditions.

  4. If she's done this for any length of time, it's exactly what Daryl said above. Muscle memory from years of practice. It's amazing what performers can do, no matter how incapacitated they are. Great snippet! Tweeted.

  5. Their relationship--it's intriguing. He seems to really have a thing for her, but in a way it's almost stalker-ish. Has me questioning whether he's a good guy or a bad guy. Good writing, Danii!
